This offers advantages to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jsystemsafety.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/openaccess_logo.png\" alt=\"Open Access Logo\" class=\"wp-image-51\" width=\"253\" height=\"64\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jsystemsafety.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/openaccess_logo.png 446w, https:\/\/jsystemsafety.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/openaccess_logo-300x76.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 253px) 100vw, 253px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Authors:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Articles are more visible and accessible<\/li><li>Articles are more likely to be cited<\/li><li>Authors retain the right to share and repost their own work<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Safety community:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Makes cutting-edge system safety knowledge accessible to all<\/li><li>Promotes discussion in the community on important topics<\/li><li>Increases the visibility of ISSS and attracts new members<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indexing and Archives are Coming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of our key goals for 2022 is to improve the indexing of the journal.  In addition to increasing the visibility of our 57-year archives of the journal, we also want to make JSS a more attractive publisher for leading academic researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch this space for more on indexing in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While we work on indexing, we will be processing and loading back issues.
